NE show- What is your pledge to Singapore
Thursday, July 30, 2009

Hi Everyone! Its been a ling time since I last posted. So what does the Singapore pledge means to me? I think the pledge means multi racial, harmony and peace. I feel proud of Singapore when i recite the pledge. Whether its in school or else where, the pledge always makes me feel proud of Singapore. I think people who recite the pledge with pride is a loyal citizen. Looking carefully at the words of the pledge, I find that everyone has a promise to Singapore. I promise to study hard, get good grades and make a brighter future for Singapore. Almost everyday we recite the pledge, I hope everyone will understand more about the pledge and strive for excellence. Together we all can do it!

Influenza A H1N1
Wednesday, June 10, 2009

Hi everyone! Its been a long time since i last posted. This week I'll be talking about the serious case of Infuenza A H1N1. It was indentified in April 2009. Now, 8 Singaporeans had caught it! I'm not really sure what H1N1 is but i'm pretty sure its a very serious flu. I found these information from the net: Influenza A virus subtype H1N1, also known as A(H1N1), is a subtype of influenzavirus A and the most common cause of influenza (flu) in humans. Some strains of H1N1 are endemic in humans, including the strain(s) responsible for the 1918 flu pandemic which killed 50-100 million people worldwide. Less virulent H1N1 strains still exist in the wild today, worldwide, causing a small fraction of all influenza-like illness and a large fraction of allseasonal influenza. H1N1 strains caused roughly half of all flu infections in 2006.[1] Other strains of H1N1 areendemic in pigs (swine influenza) and in birds (avian influenza). We can try to stop this from spreading by washing our hands regularly, when we sneeze or cough use a tissue and when feeling sick don't come to school!

Earth Day
Friday, April 24, 2009

Hi! Did you know that on Aril 22nd is Earth Day? Everyone on this Earth is celebrating it. Our school celebrated it by switching off the fans and lights for 15 minutes. My Chinese teacher off the fan and lights and then she explained about Earth Day. It was very warm. Soon it was already 1pm. By turning off the fans and lights for 15 minutes, we can save a lot of electricity. Oops forgot to tell you Ms Lee showed us a Earth Song music video. It was sung by Michael Jackson. When Ms Lee played the video, almost the whole class was laughing. Ms Lee was quite cross as it wasn't suppose to be funny. She wants us to read the lyrics. Then she showed us the video again. This time there wasn't much laughter. In the video, there were many things that pollute the Earth. So thats all for now!

P5 camp!!!
Tuesday, April 14, 2009

Hi everyone! I'm going to share wif you my experiences in the P5 camp. Day 1.... In school, we were arranged into groups. Altogether there are 16 groups. I am in group 13. When we're doing things and traveling around, Group 13 and 14 is always together. After we were sort into groups, we met our instructors. My intructor is Instructor Elaine. Then we made our way to the Labrador Aventure Centre. When we reached there, we went to see our dometries. When we put our bags and settled down, we went to the hall and got ready to go to Sentosa! Before that we ate lunch first.  At Sentosa we played Amusing race. I'm not sure whether my group completed all the 10 tasks. :( Then I played a game called Tug-of-war in the sea. It was really fun! When we went back we were all exhausted. The instructors let us take a shower then we went to eat. The food there wasn't really nice but its still edible. After dinner we went to the hall and played a game called kidnapped. Then we went to sleep. Day 2.... We ate breakfast and went to do the days activities. I did the CRC. It was very scary. Then later at night we had our CAMPFIRE!!! It was the one of all! All 16 groups performed really well especially Group 1. I like to see the instructors dance. Suddenly it rained.... we all went to the hall to continue the campfire. Then we went to sleep. Day 3.... Yay! can go home! But before we went back to school, we had to clean  the hall, then they announce which group won then we can go home. By the way group 1 won. :( So that's all for now!

Earth Hour
Friday, March 27, 2009

On 28 of March, the whole world will be celebrating earth hour. We will be doing that by turning off the lights from 8.30pm-9.30pm. It is usually held on the last Saturday of March each year, which asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. It was Sydney who first started doing this. I think during this 1 hour of darkness, I think people will be....
1. Eating candle-lit dinner
2. Playing board games
3. Sleeping
That's all I have have to say about Earth Hour. TTFN!

Reading
Monday, March 2, 2009

Hello everyone! Talking about reading, my favourite books are roald dahl books. The stories he write are so interesting. So far I've only read Mathilda and charlie and the chocolate factory. I love to read everyday, we have silent reading in the morning. During that period of time, its one of my favourite time of the day cos I love reading! Other books I like to read is Diary of a wimpy kid and many other books. Reading is very good as it can help you score marks. So do you love reading?
